You can't scale what you can't see. In two weeks, you'll know what AI your teams are running, including the shadow use, where it leaves you exposed, and where it's worth scaling.

What we look at

Approved tools sit beside shadow AI: tools on no official list, fed with data nobody has mapped. The audit looks at four areas.

  • Current usage. Every AI tool in use, sanctioned or not, and who’s using what, for what.
  • Governance and risk. Where company and client data flows, your exposure on confidentiality, intellectual property and client obligations, and whether policy matches what people do.
  • Capability. Where you sit on the curve, the skills across roles, and ad hoc use against embedded workflows.
  • Opportunity. The tasks where AI repays the effort, ranked by value and feasibility, from quick wins to structural bets.

How it works

Two weeks, scoped and time-boxed. For organisations of any size already using AI in more than one place.

  1. Uncover. Interviews and a tooling review map what’s in use across your teams, the shadow use included, and how data moves through it.
  2. Assess. Where you’re exposed, where the skills sit, and where AI would repay the effort.
  3. Decide. A working session with your leadership team to agree what to scale, what to fix and what to stop.

What you get

A clear picture at the end of the two weeks.

  1. A findings report. Every AI tool in use, sanctioned and shadow, with a map of where your data flows and who’s using what.
  2. A prioritised opportunity list. Scored by value and feasibility, so you know what to do first.
  3. A six-month roadmap. Quick wins and structural bets, in order, with owners.

The roadmap is yours. Run it in-house, or bring us in to help deliver it.

Why ddx

We don’t just audit AI. We run on it.

  • We’ve built it. We built Torn’s AI player-retention platform: retention up 7% across more than 95,000 daily users, with the grounding, guardrails and evaluation an audit checks for.
  • A published standard. The audit is scored against the PMI (Project Management Institute) Standard for AI in project management, which ddx has adopted itself.
  • Since 2019. We’ve run ddx on AI since 2019, and we build AI products of our own: ddx PMO for project management offices (PMOs) and MobilityIQ for motor finance.

Your data

Your data stays yours. We work under a non-disclosure agreement, train nothing on what we see, use it only to produce your findings, and delete or return it when the engagement ends.

Readiness check.

Five questions. Answer them honestly and see where you're solid and where the gaps are, area by area.

Question 1 of 5Can you name every AI tool in use across your organisation today?
Question 2 of 5Do you know what company and client data goes into those tools?
Question 3 of 5If a client or regulator asked how an AI-assisted decision was made, could you show them?
Question 4 of 5Is AI part of how most teams work, or concentrated in a few enthusiasts?
Question 5 of 5Have you decided where AI is worth the effort, ranked by value and risk?
