Operating as an owner-side governance layer, ddx will augment Marriott’s existing team across design management, cost control, schedule oversight, and stakeholder coordination throughout the programme. The appointment reflects the complexity of the delivery environment, which involves multiple consultants, contractors, and operational constraints inherent to a live, high-profile hotel asset.
ddx’s scope of work includes establishing a comprehensive PMI-aligned project management framework across governance, scope, risk, procurement, and delivery — providing the structured foundation needed to drive coordinated and predictable programme execution. A dual-layer planning approach will be implemented, integrating contractor-side scheduling with an owner-controlled platform to deliver real-time visibility across cost, programme, and stakeholder performance.
Alongside this, ddx will introduce formal change control, scope verification, and risk management processes, ensuring that decisions at every stage are evidence-based and aligned with Marriott’s budget and operational objectives.
Pawel Michalski, Partner at ddx, commented: “This is a significant appointment for the business and a great example of the kind of complex, high-stakes environments we thrive in. We’re looking forward to working closely with the Marriott team to bring structure, clarity and momentum to this programme.”
